Sunday Scene at the Power Plant:
Ian Wallace: The Economy of the Image
October 24, 2010
Every Sunday, speakers from the world of art and beyond offer their responses to the current exhibitions. Whether focusing on a single work/artist or on multiple exhibitions, guest presenters draw provocative connections between our programs and broader cultural and intellectual debates. Our Fall 2010 program features two solo exhibitions: ‘Ian Wallace: The Economy of the Image’ and ‘Pae White: Material Mutters’.
Shelley Hornstein is Associate Professor of Architectural History at York University. Her research examines concepts of place and spatial politics in architectural and urban sites, and she will speak about the Ian Wallace exhibition. Her most recent book, Losing Site: Architecture, Memory and Place, will be published in 2011.
